Institute for Responsible Investment

The Institute for Responsible Investment (IRI) provides a platform for dialogue on fundamental theories and practices underlying responsible investment and corporate citizenship. Our work is designed to expand the scope of responsible investment through research and network-building that identifies cutting issues, and catalyzes growth in emerging fields.

The Institute for Responsible Investment is a project of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and is made possible through the generous support of the Brooks Family Foundation.

The IRI is the home of the More for Mission Campaign Resource Center which provides informational resources to foundations looking to take up mission investing. The IRI also focuses on responsible property investing and created the Responsible Property Investing Center as a way to bring together leading real estate practitioners to discuss approaches to creating economic, social, and environmental value through real estate investments.

Current projects also include the publication of a Handbook for Climate-Related Investing Across Asset Classes which is a follow up to the IRI's Handbook on Responsible Investment Across Asset Classes, as well as an indepth study on the purpose and use of Corporate Social Responsibility Reports that was inspired by previous IRI research on Non-Financial Corporate Disclosures
